Welcome to the Savannah Baptist Assembly, your first choice for rest, recreation, reflection and renewal! Whether your church or group is looking to host a camp, retreat, conference, or other gathering, the Assembly is a great choice – here are 4 reasons why:
- Location – Located near historic Guyton in Effingham County, Georgia, the facility is within the Savannah metropolitan area. In spite of that proximity, when you’re onsite you’ll feel a world away in the peace of God’s creation. As we’re about a 45 minute drive from Savannah, the Assembly is far enough to be away, but not so far that you’ll drive all day.
- Intention – Since its beginnings in 1967, the Savannah Baptist Assembly has been dedicated to the glory of God for the purposes of building Christian character and helping people find and respond to God’s will. For more than 50 years this facility has hosted over 100,000 guests, seen hundreds come to faith in Jesus Christ and made an impact on thousands of people of all ages.
- Opportunity – With meeting space for up to 200, kitchen and dining facilities, lodging for up to 87 overnight guests across seven different buildings, primitive & RV camping spots, and outdoor recreation space including tennis, basketball, volleyball and a seasonal pool, the Assembly provides a canvas on which you can create the perfect camp, conference or retreat experience.
- Availability – For decades, the Assembly has been a hot spot for summer camps and activities. Now that all onsite lodging and meeting facilities are fully climate controlled and meeting spaces offer Wi-Fi, you have the opportunity to plan all manner of events in the fall, winter and spring (retreats, camps, conferences, Sunday School/small group gatherings, planning and training events, and more!).
